Yeast Madness
The Yeast Madness kit builds upon our research of azole resistance. Students are presented with information on mutations present in eight azole-resistant strains and predict whch will be most fit in the presence of an azole drug in a bracket-style competition. Students then carry out competitive growth experiments and determine winners by counting relative numbers of colonies produced by different colored strains.
